Hurricane Michael Updates
May 9, 2019
Guests are surprised at how we’ve recovered from the hurricane. Things are great here on the beach, but that’s only part of the story. See how the Royal American team rose to the occasion—going above and beyond for the community and each other.

Recovery is coming along beautifully—though it’s not quite business-as-usual just yet. We’re open and accepting reservations as the convention center and ballroom receive an all-new look including carpet, roof, fixtures, lighting, paint, etc. Relief crews and displaced homeowners continue to be accommodated; we expect this arrangement through FEMA to wrap up mid-April. We appreciate your patience as we wrap up the recovery process.

We are pleased to announce that IRONMAN Florida has been relocated to Haines City, FL and will take place on November 4. Athletes who have previously registered for IRONMAN Florida in Panama City Beach will be automatically registered for IRONMAN Florida in Haines City. No action is required. Please contact IRONMAN Florida for further questions.
Again, we are doing our best to respond in a timely manner to all communication about deposits and refunds for your hotel stay, but please keep in mind that our ability to communicate post-hurricane is extremely limited. We appreciate your patience during this recovery period.

IRONMAN organizers have notified us that IRONMAN has been cancelled. Please contact IRONMAN directly regarding new location and/or dates, as we do not have that information and are still working on getting our communication systems back up.
